1. Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd. (“ACK”) is organizing a Contest “Tinkle IdeaStar 2023” (“Contest”).

2. The Contest is promoted by Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd. having its registered office at 204, 2nd Floor, Dhantak Plaza, situated at Makwana Road, Gamdevi, Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai, Maharashtra – 400059.

3. The Contest shall commence on 1st April, 2023 and end on 30th April, 2023.

4. The Contest is open to all children below 18 (Eighteen) years of age (“Participant”) on 1st April, 2023, entering through their parent/guardian and who are residents of India.

5. By entering this Contest, the Participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions for the Contest as given by ACK.

6. To enter the Contest, the Participant shall provide their ideas via a Microsoft form that shall be provided in the print and digital editions of Tinkle’s April 2023 issue (Issue No. 799) for any one or more of the following prompts:

a) Idea for a fantastical potion that Hoki Poki can brew and Tantri can use against Raja Hooja.

b) The creation of a SuperWeird supervillain whom Aisha and her friends can fight.

c) The invention of a defective gadget that the Defective Detectives can use for sleuthing.

7. All the Participants are expected to submit their entries by 30th April 2023 via the Microsoft form only. No entries provided via email or post shall be entertained for any reason, whatsoever.

8. Any entries received before the opening or after the closing dates of the Contest will be considered as invalid and shall not be entered into the Contest, unless decided otherwise by ACK. ACK shall assume no responsibility for entries not received before the opening date and beyond closing date, for whatever reason.

9. ACK shall select winners (“Winners”) for the Contest. ACK shall have the sole discretion to shortlist Winners for the Contest entered by the Participants.

10. The Winners shall receive fixed prizes from ACK.

11. The Prizes shall be as follows:

a) 1st prize: An Amazon gift voucher worth Rs. 3000/-;

b) 2nd prize: An Amazon gift voucher worth Rs. 2000/-;

c) 3rd prize: An Amazon gift voucher worth Rs. 1000/-; &

d) Consolation prize: A one year subscription to the Tinkle app for other entries that are liked by the ACK Editorial Team (this shall be determined based on the Team’s discretion).

12. The respective Prize Winners shall be contacted by the ACK team via email to receive their gift vouchers. In addition to these gift vouchers, the Prize Winner’s ideas shall further be adapted into a story in Tinkle magazine’s editions in the following manner:

a) 1st prize Winner: November issue of Tinkle.

b) 2nd prize Winner: October issue of Tinkle.

c) 3rd prize Winner: September issue of Tinkle.

13. It is clarified that there shall be no announcement to declare the Winners of the Contest. Participants and readers shall find out who the Prize Winners are after seeing their ideas adapted in stories published in the September, October and November issues of Tinkle Magazine. It is further clarified that Prizes shall be awarded only to the Participants below the age of 18 years.

14. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, if the Winner fails to respond within a period of 15 (fifteen) days from the date of being notified of winning and/or ACK is unable to contact the Winner despite all reasonable efforts, ACK reserves the right to change the Winner and/or rescind the prize.

15. There is no entry fee to enter this Contest.

16. Only one entry will be accepted per Participant. Multiple attempts from the same Participant shall be disqualified.

17. Closing date for voting will be 30th April 2023. After this date no further survey entries to the Contest will be permitted, unless otherwise decided by ACK.

18. Prizes distributed and any changes to the prizes will be on the sole discretion of ACK.

19. The Participant agrees that all rights associated with the questions in the survey shall vest with ACK at all times. ACK shall retain all right, title and interest in its patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade name, trade dress, service marks and trade secrets and/or creations, model, data, flow chart, drawing, design, diagram, table, artwork, innovation or any other information or material (“Intellectual Property Rights”) in perpetuity. In the event it is claimed that any part of the survey or answers submitted by the Participant infringes any person’s copyright, the Participant agree to indemnify against all costs, expenses, losses, fines etc. incurred, borne or suffered by ACK.

20. ACK reserves the right to, without liability or prejudice to any of its other rights, at any time, without previous notice and from time to time, withdraw/suspend/amend/cancel this Contest, with or without any reason.

21. The Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India. All matters with respect to the Contest are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts at Mumbai.

22. ACK’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Contest will be final and no correspondence will be entertained.

23. Nothing contained in these terms and conditions, nor the running of this Contest to which they apply, shall be construed as an obligation on ACK.

24. Employees, officers and/or agents of ACK and their families are excluded from entering the Contest.

25. Entry into the Contest shall be deemed as acceptance of the terms and conditions.
