TINKLE TOWN: The sister of school topper, Mynah Halbe, and daughter of chartered accountant, Jagannath Halbe, has decided to quit school. Mo Halbe, a student of class 3, was preparing for her class tests but couldn’t cope with her maths syllabus. That’s when she realized that she didn’t need lessons on shapes, addition and subtraction if she lived in a forest.
“I’ve just informed my family that I am quitting school and setting up camp in a forest. I know everything there is to know about foraging and I can easily survive in the wild. School isn’t for me,” she said.
We asked other members of the Halbe family about this decision. Mina, Mo’s elder sister, broke down and said, “I don’t want my sister to leave me! I love her! Who will bake delicious cakes after she’s gone?” Eldest sister Ina has hidden all her camping gear and is confident that it will change Mo’s mind. “I offered to tutor her till class 10 but she chose to lock herself in our bedroom!” said Mynah.
Mo Halbe’s parents could not be reached for a comment. But you can find the latest developments of this story in Tinkle 786 Week 4.
